To open a file from the local catalog

You can open the files in an enterprise server catalog directly from Server Explorer as follows:

1. In Server Explorer, expand the node for the enterprise server.
2. Expand Catalog and then expand the node indicated by .
3. Right-click the file in the local catalog that you want to open.
4. Click Open With, and then click one of the following commands:
   • Default Application - uses the editor which is associated with the file extension in Windows.
   • Visual Studio - uses the editor which is associated with the file extension in Visual Studio.
   • Data File Tools - only visible if the file type is supported by Data File Tools. Uses Micro Focus Data File Tools.

   This opens the file in the specified editor.
