JCL Editor Margins and Text Casing Options
You can use the settings in
Tools > Options > Text Editor > JCL and on the
Margins page to display the margins, the ruler, or turn on smart editing mode.

- Show margins
- Displays the margins in the editor.
- Show the ruler
- Check this to view the ruler in the JCL editor.
- Mainframe style
- Check this to display the Mainframe style of the ruler.
- Text casing

- Force upper case
- Check this to force upper case in the Assembler editor. When enabled, any code you insert in the source file is forced to
upper case. This applies to code you type, paste or is inserted automatically. To switch this on or off, you can alternatively
use the
button in the COBOL toolbar, or click
Edit > Advanced > Force Uppercase menu item while the Assembler file is opened in the editor.
