There is a compatibility issue with MFA Server v9.00 (and later) with clients that use
Enterprise Developer 6.0 PU6 and PU7. This is due to the improved transfer performance support introduced in
Enterprise Developer 7.0.
Micro Focus recommends that you update your clients to at least
Enterprise Developer 6.0 PU8, but ideally a version that matches the current MFA Server that you have installed. Indicators of the compatibility
issue are:
- When an AWM client attempts to connect to the server to download the master configuration files for the first time it will
fail to connect. The following error message is displayed:
MFDAS01: Mainframe Access problem. Reason: A communication error was detected, refer to MFAERROR.LOG
- Performing a MFDAS IMPORT against a data set larger than 64kB will result in the following error message being displayed:
MFDAS01: Mainframe Access problem. Reason: A communication error was detected, refer to MFAERROR.LOG
and with a return rc=250.
