Configure an MSS-enabled enterprise server

To access the Enterprise Server Common Web Administration (ESCWA):

1. Inside the IDE, open the Server Explorer view - click Window > Open View > Other.
2. Type Server Exporer in the search field, click Server Exporer, and then click Open.
3. In Server Explorer, right-click Local [localhost:10086], and click Open Administration Page.

   This opens a browser outside of the IDE, and loads the ESCWA UI in it.

To create an enterprise server:

1. In ESCWA, click Native.
2. In the navigation pane, click Directory Servers > Default.
3. Click * New.

   This opens the New Region dialog box.

4. In the Name field, type PLIDEMO.
5. In the Description field, type a meaningful description, such as JCL server for tutorial.
6. Ensure that 64-Bit Working Mode is checked.
7. Ensure that MSS Enabled is checked.
8. Clear the Create TN3270 listener check box.
9. Click Save.

   The PLIDEMO region is displayed in the left-hand pane.

10. Select the PLIDEMO region.

    The General Properties page is displayed.

11. In the Configuration Information field, type the following:

    [ES-Environment]
    PLIJCLDEMO=c:\tutorials\PLIJCLdemo

    Note: The value for PLIJCLDEMO must match the location being used for this tutorial. If you use a location other than the one specified in the tutorial be sure to set the value to that location.
12. Click Apply.
