Example AWM: MVS Projects Sample Application

Note: This example can only be used if you have installed either EDz or EDc.

This topic provides a description of an example AWM model called MVS Projects Sample Application. This example demonstrates the modeling procedure and programming of a tool adapter.

The example is shipped with the AWM model MVSCONF and REXX procedures prefixed with TAUPD or TAUZC, and is also included as an entry in the master configuration file. The example is part of the MFA server. Micro Focus recommends that you do not use the example in a production environment due to its limited functionality.

The following example takes you set-by-step through the model definition process.

From Enterprise Developer 6.0, an additional version of the MVS Projects Sample Application is shipped under the member name MVSPRJ60. This application requires an EDz or EDc client installation of version 6.0 or later.

The MVSPRJ60 application includes integrated support for local Enterprise Developer projects. In addition to the MVSCONF version it provides the following actions:

Associate SYSLIB on MVS PO member level.
Set local compiler options on MVS PO member level.
Transfer a MVS PO member to a local project folder.
Transfer a file from a local project folder to a MVS PO data set.
