Micro Focus z/Server Connection Type

AWM provides its own z/OS connection type within the Eclipse Remote Systems view. The connection type is called Micro Focus z/Server.

The entry created in the Remote System view by a Micro Focus z/Server connection type is called zExplorer.

Note: The zExplorer is only available if a connection to the z/Server can be established. This is supported with EDz, EDc and IDz.

The zExplorer provides basic functions to access the z/OS MVS and USS file systems as well as batch jobs and tasks managed by JES2 and JES3.

Cross-system support for copying files between local and remote systems is available.

The zExplorer is located in the Remote Systems view, and can be used after adding a Micro Focus z/Server connection.
