Editing a preprocessor for a project
To configure a preprocessor for a project:
- Click
Project > Properties.
- Expand
Micro Focus > Project Settings > COBOL.
- Click
Additional Preprocessors.
- Choose a preprocessor to edit in your project:
- To edit your own or third-party preprocessor used in your project:
- Click on a custom preprocessor.
- Click
Edit, this will open the
Edit Custom Preprocessor dialog box.
- Type a new preprocessor name in the
Name field, if required.
- Specify a new location for the preprocessor in the
Location field. Alternatively, click
Browse and navigate to the new preprocessor location.
- Type the new directives in the
Directives field, if required.
- Click
OK.
- To edit an installed preprocessor used in your project:
- Click on an installed preprocessor.
- Click
Edit, this will open the
Edit Installed Preprocessor dialog box.
- Type the new directives in the
Directives field.
- Click
OK.
- Click
Apply and Close to save your changes.
Editing a preprocessor for a build configuration
To configure a preprocessor for a build configuration:
- Click
Project > Properties.
- Expand
Micro Focus > Build Configurations > COBOL.
- Click
Additional Preprocessors.
- Select the
Build Configuration.
- Choose a preprocessor to edit for your build configuration:
- To edit your own or third-party preprocessor used in your build configuration:
- Click on a custom preprocessor.
- Click
Edit, this will open the
Edit Custom Preprocessor dialog box.
- Type a new preprocessor name in the
Name field, if required.
- Specify a new location for the preprocessor in the
Location field. Alternatively, click
Browse and navigate to the new preprocessor location.
- Type the new directives in the
Directives field, if required.
- Click
OK.
- To edit an installed preprocessor used in your build configuration:
- Click on an installed preprocessor.
- Click
Edit, this will open the
Edit Installed Preprocessor dialog box.
- Type the new directives in the
Directives field.
- Click
OK.
- Click
Apply and Close to save your changes.
Editing a preprocessor for a file
To configure a preprocessor for a file:
- In COBOL Explorer, right-click a COBOL program in your project, and click
Properties.
- Click
COBOL > Additional Preprocessors.
- Choose a preprocessor to edit for your file:
- To edit your own or third-party preprocessor used for a file:
- Click on a custom preprocessor.
- Click
Edit, this will open the
Edit Custom Preprocessor dialog box.
- Type a new preprocessor name in the
Name field, if required.
- Specify a new location for the preprocessor in the
Location field. Alternatively, click
Browse and navigate to the new preprocessor location.
- Type the new directives in the
Directives field, if required.
- Click
OK.
- To edit an installed preprocessor used for a file:
- Click on an installed preprocessor.
- Click
Edit, this will open the
