The
Data View Explorer is a tab available in the AppMaster Builder perspective. Its purpose is similar to that of the
Project Explorer in that it provides a tree view to serve as an inventory and as a starting point for accessing additional functionality.
Note: The
Data View Explorer is available only from the AppMaster Builder perspective and not from the Team Developer perspective.
From the
Data View Explorer, you can:
- Browse the list of defined data views and view all data view components
- Add new data views
- Create new data sources for data views
- Add existing data sources to data views
- Modify existing data views and data view sources
- Import previously generated data views
- Generate data views
- Filter the list of data views
- Rename data view sources
- Browse data view metadata files
- Browse generated DDI symbol files
- Access the DB2 catalog on a mainframe
- Set data view properties
- Remove or delete data views and data view sources
Use the tree view in the
Data View Explorer to view an inventory of AMB data views and objects and to invoke data view tools.
