Monitoring resource managers in Enterprise Server, using the CRCN transaction has the following know issues or limitations:
- Oracle
- Oracle does not recover from a connection loss. This issue was raised as a Service Request with Oracle (SR 3-19815889131).
To work around this issue, CRCN reconnect processing terminates the SEP when the re-connection to an Oracle Database throws
an XA error.
- WebSphere MQ Server
- When WebSphere MQ Server and Micro Focus Enterprise Server are installed on the same machine, WebSphere MQ Server can establish
a connection using shared memory (LOCAL SERVER). In that scenario the system cannot reconnect, because the MQ server does
not release shared memory resources used for each Enterprise Server process connected to the system after an xa-close, if
the MQ Server was 'stopped immediately'. This is a limitation of the MQ architecture. Check the WebSphere MQ System Administration
Guide documentation for how to clear the shared memory resources.
