Comparing Data Sets (MFJMATCH - IEBCOMPR)

This topic describes how to use MFJMATCH to emulate the IEBCOMPR mainframe utility to compare two sequential or partitioned data sets. MFJMATCH works in two modes, depending on the EXEC statement you use to invoke it:

EXEC Statement Description
PGM=IEBCOMPR    MFJMATCH emulates the IEBCOMPR mainframe utility.
PGM=MFJMATCH MFJMATCH performs a data set comparison but does not emulate the IEBCOMPR mainframe utility.
Notes:
  • Both utilities are limited to a 9-digit record count as listed for their output.
