Defining a connection

If the Mainframe Explorer window is not displayed, click View > Mainframe Explorer.
Restriction: You can only have one connection defined at any one time. If you require a new connection, you must edit the existing connection.
  1. In the Mainframe Explorer window, double-click Create new connection. The Specify connection details window appears.
  2. Enter the appropriate information for the following options:
    Option Description
    Name The name that describes the connection
    IP node The IP address of the mainframe
    Port The port to use to connect to the mainframe
  3. Click OK.
