Disconnecting

Restriction: This topic applies to Windows environments only.

Generally, the connection between the primary and remote server is not broken until the client application ends the session by logging out of the primary server. If the access of the remote server was done interactively, it cannot explicitly disconnect from the remote server. If the access was done through embedded SQL, the program can use the CONNECT RESET command. See the SQL Reference for a description of the CONNECT RESET command.
