To create a project or a file from a custom template

  1. Click File > New to select a project type or right-click your project in Application Explorer view, click New > File and select the type of file you want to create.
  2. Specify a name.
  3. Select a template:
    • If you have not configured the IDE to use custom templates, you are presented with the default Micro Focus template.
    • If you changed the IDE preferences to use custom templates, these are now available.
    • If you want to use another existing project as a template, check Browse for template and use Browse to navigate to the location of the project and select either the .project file or the source file as appropriate.
  4. Click Finish to create the project or the file.
