- Alternate Editor
- The full path to and executable file name of a third-party editor to use instead of the default AppMaster Builder editor.
Note: Preferences specified for Program Painter and Report Painter do not apply to third-party editors.
- Background color
- The default background color used for the Program Painter and the Report Painter.
- Default foreground
- The foreground color used with color preferences set for each AppMaster Builder editor.
- Read-Only mode

- The background color used in each AppMaster Builder editor when viewing code in read-only mode, which applies to mainframe
files and protected files.

- Check to set one background and foreground color combination.

- Check this to use a cross-hair cursor in the Program and Report Painters.
- Color
- Sets the color used for the cross-hair cursor. Click to invoke the
Color dialog box for color selection. Available when
Use cross hair cursor is checked.
- Size
- The line thickness of the cross-hair cursor, from 1 to 15 pixels.
Note: You can toggle a cross-hair cursor on and off, and change the cursor color and thickness on the fly using keystroke combinations.
