A COBOL JVM Enum type is a data type that enables you to specify a variable to be a set of predefined constants.
To create a COBOL JVM Enum type:
- Click

This opens the
New dialog box.
- Click
, and then click
Next.
This opens the
New COBOL JVM Enum dialog box.
- In the
Source folder field, type the path to the source folder you want to use. Alternatively, click
Browse to navigate to a source folder.
Note: By default, the
Source folder field contains the source folder of the element that was selected when the wizard was started.
- In the
Package field, type the path to the package to be used. Alternatively, click
Browse to choose a package.
Note: Micro Focus recommends that you do not use the default package.
- In the
Name field, type a name for the COBOL JVM Enum type.
- Select an access modifier for the new COBOL JVM Enum type. This can be either
public or
internal.
- Click
Finish.
This creates a COBOL file and opens it in the COBOL editor.
