Setting the catalog location in the enterprise server

Note: Setting this option overrides the MFSYSCAT environment variable.
  1. In Server Explorer, right-click Local, then choose Open Administration Page.
    Note: If Server Explorer is not already displayed, click Window > Show View > Server Explorer.

    The Enterprise Server Administration page appears.

  2. Click Edit to the left of the server that contains your local catalog.

    The server details appear.

  3. If you did not use a JES enabled server template when creating the server, select Server > Properties > MSS and ensure Mainframe Subsystem Support enabled is checked, then select JES and ensure Job Entry Subsystem enabled is checked.

  4. Select Server > Properties > MSS > JES > General.
  5. In the System Catalog field, enter the path, including file name, to the required catalog.dat, then click Apply.

    You need to refresh the list of servers for this change to take effect.

    Note: You must specify a catalog location on the current machine.
  6. In Server Explorer, right-click Local, then click Refresh.

    The catalog location is updated.

    The location of the catalog is shown in the Properties tab.
