Prerequisites

The following are Windows Azure support prerequisites:

• Azure Platform account. You can start with a free trial at https://azure.microsoft.com/en-gb/free/search/?&WT.srch=1&WT for details on setting up an Azure Platform account.
• SQL Azure server. See Getting Started with SQL Azure Database using the Windows Azure Management Portal at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/sql-database/sql-database-get-started-portal for details on setting up and accessing SQL Azure databases.
• Azure storage account. See https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/storage/ for details on how to set up an Azure storage account. You need to create a version one (classic ) storage account.
• Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio v2.9.5. Download this SDK from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53600. The SDK is required on any system that deploys Enterprise Server for .NET roles to Azure. To avoid the complexity of deciding what bits and pieces to install , please use one of the "one click install" links mentioned in the download page ( choosing 2013 , 2015 , 2017).
