Operation

You can access the ESF LDAP security administration Web interface using the URI provided on the Server > Properties > Security tab, under the Enable Security Manager Administration GUI checkbox. Depending on the how you have configured the security manager, you might be prompted for an administrator's username and password.

The interface has a number of tabs, where each tab has a number of columns presenting various information. You can:

Note: Refreshing the page or reopening the browser resets the columns displayed and their order to the default configuration.

Users tab

By default, the User tab displays the Action, Order, Account Id, Name and Description columns. You can search in this tab which filters the users and only displays the users that contain the string in the Account Id or Name columns.

Group tab

By default, the Group tab displays the Action, Order, Group and Description columns. You can search in this tab which filters the groups and only displays the groups that contained the string in the Group or Description columns.

Resources tab

By default, the Resources tab displays the Action, Classes / Resources, Description and ACL String columns. The Classes / Resources column provides a tree view of the resource classes and associated resource entities. Click to expand the resource class and view any associate resource entities. You can search in this tab which filters the class resources and only displays the class resources that contain the string in the Classes / Resources or Description columns.
Note: Searching in this tab only filters the resource classes and does not return any matching resource entities.

Configuration tab

By default, the Configuration tab displays the Action, Order, Name and Module columns. This tab lists the security manager configurations of the Enterprise Server region in use.

Click to display the Advanced Configuration Information dialog box and view the information used to configure the security manager such as:

  • Name
  • Module
  • Connection Path
  • Authorized ID
  • Enabled
  • Cache Limit (KB)
  • Cache TTL
  • Configuration Information
Note: This tab does not include a Search field or a count of the entries.
