Current Restrictions

Attention: This topic applies to a feature that is in Early Adopter Program (EAP) release status. We intend to provide the finalized feature in a future release. Please contact OpenText Support for Micro Focus Products if you require further clarification.

This version of the Data Tools product currently has the following restrictions:

There is no support for opening and editing non-cataloged files. Any files opened and modified by the file service or Record Editor must be accessed from a dataset on a local or remote Enterprise Server that is configured in advance.
You cannot create new files using the file service.
There is no Save As option available. Any changes you make must be saved to overwrite the existing file.
There is no support for ESDS or Extended ESDS files.
The file service is not supported within a Performance and Availability Cluster (PAC).
There is no support for files stored via the Micro Focus Database File Handler (MFDBFH)
There is no Filter functionality.
There is no Search/Replace functionality.
The Data Tools product Help, available from the Help > Help Contents menu options, is out of date. For up-to-date documentation, use the online product Help.
