Mainframe

This page lists Mainframe Access servers and their key configuration properties.
Note: These features can only be configured and used if your product is enabled for Mainframe Subsystem Support (MSS).

To enable the mainframe features you must set REST_API="1" in your mainframe XML configuration file and give users appropriate permission. See REST_API and Define Mainframe Access Web API to the Security Subsystem for more information.

To add a new Mainframe Access server:

  1. Click +ADD

    This opens the MAINFRAME ACCESS SERVER dialog box.

  2. In the Name field, type the name of your Mainframe Access server.
  3. In the Host field, type the name of the host or IP address. If you are connecting via TLS, type its Subject Alternate Name (SAN), or the Common Name (CN) of the identification certificate that the server is using.
  4. Optionally, in the Port field, you can modify the default port number.
  5. Optionally, click Enable TLS to enable secure communications with the Mainframe Access server.
  6. From the Codepage list, choose the codepage to use with the Mainframe Access server. By default, the codepage is set to 037.
  7. Optionally, in the Description field, type a short description for the Mainframe Access server.
    Note: The description is displayed in the Mainframe Access servers list.
  8. Click Save.

You can edit or remove Mainframe Access servers by clicking the appropriate icon at the far right of a Mainframe Access server row.
