To start an Enterprise Developer command prompt as an administrator

Depending on the location of files created from an Enterprise Developer command prompt, you might need to start it as an administrator. To do this:

Windows 10
  • From your Windows desktop, click Start > Micro Focus Enterprise Developer, right-click Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (32-bit) or Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (64-bit), and click More > Run as Administrator.
Windows 11
  • Click the Start button in the Task Bar. Use the search field in the Start menu to locate Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (32-bit) or the Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (64-bit). Right-click the item, and click Run as Administrator.
  • Open Windows Terminal on your machine, and click Open a new tab. From the drop-down menu, you can select either Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (32-bit) or Micro Focus Enterprise Developer Command Prompt (64-bit). Press Ctrl when you click the item to run as administrator.
