Duplicate a Record

Attention: This topic applies to a feature that is in Early Adopter Program (EAP) release status. We intend to provide the finalized feature in a future release. Please contact OpenText Support for Micro Focus Products if you require further clarification.

Any duplicated records will contain the same record keys as the original record. If the file is saved with two records sharing record keys, this will produce an error message.

  1. Right-click the record to be copied and select Duplicate Selected Record(s).
Tip: You can duplicate multiple records at once using one of the following methods:
    • To select consecutive records to duplicate, click on the first record, then hold the SHIFT key and click on the last record to be duplicated.
    • To select non-consecutive records, hold the CTRL key and click on the records to be duplicated.
    • Press CTRL+A to select all records in the current page. Hold CTRL and click on a record to deselect it.

The new record is inserted directly below the last selected record.

  2. Manually change the record key of the duplicated record, otherwise an error message will occur when trying to save the file. Double-click the record to edit it.
  3. After editing the record number, press Enter.
  4. Click File > Save to save the changes.
