Using a TLS Enabled Listener

Attention: This feature is in Early Adopter Program (EAP) release status. We intend to provide the finalized feature in a future release. Please contact OpenText Support for Micro Focus Products if you require further clarification.
Restrictions:
  • It is not possible to specify a separate CA certificate for a file service listener. The CA certificate specified in the ESCWA connection will be used for all requests under that connection.
  • It is not possible to use a TLS secured file service listener with a non-secured ESCWA instance.

If you are using a TLS file service listener within the Record Editor, you must have enabled TLS settings and provided a valid CA Certificate path in ESCWA during the file service setup in ESCWA. You must also specify the CA Certificate path within the Server Explorer.

To define a TLS-enabled connection in the editor:

  1. Right-click anywhere in the Server Explorer and select New > Enterprise Server Common Web Administration Connection.

This opens the New Enterprise Server Common Web Administration Connection dialog box.

  2. Enter the name of the connection in the Name field.
  3. Enter the hostname in the Server address field.
  4. Check TLS Enabled.
  5. Click Browse and navigate to the location of the CA Certificate. Alternatively, you can type the path in the CA Certificate field.
  6. Click Finish.

The TLS enabled connection is visible in Server Explorer.
