Using z/OSMF

MFA has limited functionality to use a z/OSMF server for basic source discovery and off load to the workstation.

Configuration:

To configure MFDAS or MFA Compare and Synchronization Monitor to operate with a z/OSMF server the following configuration is required:

Environment variable MFA_ZOSMF=true must be set in the process environment.
The z/OSMF server's host, port, and TLS information must be set in the mfa_config.json file.

MFA Compare and Synchronization Monitor requires the time delta specified in the mfa_config.json file. The time delta specifies the difference between mainframe time and your local machine time in milliseconds (ms). For example:

"mainframe_time_delta" : "-18000"

Commands available

MFDAS:

mfdas catdcb <data set> ALL

mfdas DIR PDS <data set> FULL

mfdas import <local dir> FROM PDS <data set> MEMBER <prefix|member name>

MFMON2:

mfmon2 [TEXT|BINARY] DOWNLOAD [PREFIX <prefix>] PDS <local dir> AGAINST <data set> [EXT=<extension>]
