The IMS Database Editor and the IMS Segment Layout Editor are part of the Classic Data File Tools which is only available on Windows. If your IMS application is stored on a UNIX machine, you need to transfer the IMS data files on a Windows machine and edit them there.
In some circumstances the TN3270 stream sent when an IMS message screen is requested does not display as expected. This can happen if you have private copies of the system MFS objects. These objects are distributed in %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Micro Focus\Enterprise Developer\etc\ims (Windows) or $COBDIR/etc/ims (UNIX).
