Note: If you have Micro Focus Rumba Desktop installed, you can enable it from the IDE
preferences as the TN3270 emulator to launch from within the IDE in order to run or debug your applications.
- When you start debugging, the IDE launches
Rumba+ Desktop, if it is not already running, connects it to the
enterprise server region, and starts the application in a mainframe session. If configured, an existing session profile can be used; see
Choosing a TN3270 Mainframe Display.
If you receive a message that the Rumba profile will be read-only, click
OK. The session then connects automatically.
If
Rumba+ Desktop is already running, when you start debugging, it opens a new tab and connects to the
enterprise server region where your application is running.
- Stopping debugging closes
Rumba+ Desktop automatically but not in cases where
Rumba+ Desktop was already launched before you started debugging.
For more information, see the
Rumba+ Desktop product Help.
