Restriction: This topic applies only when the AppMaster Builder AddPack has been installed, and applies only to Windows platforms.
- From the Editors page
- On the Editors preferences page, you can set background and foreground colorization options for all of the AMB painters, and
turn on basic color mode. You can also change the cursor style to a cross-hair cursor, and set a color and size for it.
- From the AppMaster Builder perspective, click
AppMaster Builder preferences page

- In the left pane, click
Editors.
- Set options as desired; then click
OK.

Note: If you prefer to view code using a single background and a single foreground color, set these colors using the controls in
the
Basic color mode group. When specified, basic color mode overrides colorization settings specified on the Editors - Report Painter - Colorization
page.
- From the Editors - Report Painter - Colorization page
- On the Editors - Report Painter - Colorization page, you set colorization options for specific code structures.
Note: If you prefer to override the color scheme defined here and instead edit code using a single background and a single foreground
color, set these colors on the Editors preferences page using the controls in the
Basic color mode group.
- From the AppMaster Builder perspective, click
AppMaster Builder preferences page

- In the left pane, expand
Editors > Report Painter; then click
Colorization.
- Check
Enable colorization.
- To change the color for a structure:
- Select a structure on the
Appearance color options list.
- Double-click the
Color field.
- Select a color; then click
OK.
- To define a custom color:
- On the Color dialog box, click
Define Custom Colors.
- To define a color, either use the cross hairs and slider, or type a value into each field.
- Click
Add to Custom Colors.
- When all colors are set as desired, click
OK.

- From within the Report Painter
- While you are running the Report Painter, you can toggle the cross-hair cursor on and off, and customize its size and color.
- To toggle the cross-hair cursor on or off, press

+/= (on the character keyboard).
- While toggled on, use the following short-cut key combinations to change the size and/or color of your cross-hair cursor:

Sets the line thickness from 1 to 9 pixels.

0 (zero)

Changes the color of the cursor. Each time you press this combination, the color changes and continues to change with entered
each key-stroke combination until all defined colors have been displayed; then the sequence begins again.
