To Start a Secure Listener and Set the Pass Phrase

You use this task for Enterprise Server instances with secure listeners where you want to set the pass phrases each time you start the server.

  1. On the Enterprise Server Administration screen, click the Start button for the server that you want to start, and on the confirmation screen, click OK to continue.
  2. When the server starts, click the server's Details button.
  3. On the server's Details screen, select the Listeners tab.
  4. In the listener list, locate your secure listener, and in the Status column, click Authorize.

    The Communications Process screen is displayed.

  5. Enter the Certificate Passprhase and the Keyfile Passphrase and click Set Passphrases The passphrases are set and the listener starts and becomes available for use.
Note: If the listener fails to start, it can be useful to look in the CS console. To access the CS console, on the server's Details page, select: Server > Diagnostics > CS Console
