VRECGEN is a utility program provided by Micro Focus that runs on the mainframe. Its purpose is to preserve segment length information when an IMS database has been unloaded using the standard IBM unload utility or a third party unload utility. It MUST NOT be used if the user has unloaded using IMSDBUV utility.
