- Connection List
- A list of all available connections.
- Name
- The data source name you specified for the connection when you created it.
- Type
- The type of database connection,
SQL Server or
DB2.
- Status
- The last known status of the connection:

- New DB2 Connection
- Switch to the
DB2 Connection tab to create a new DB2 connection.
- New SQL Server Connection
- Switch to the
SQL Server Connection tab to create a new SQL Server connection.
- Edit
- Switch to the
SQL Server Connection or
DB2 Connection tab, depending on the selected connection, where you can make changes to your connection specifications.
- Remove
- Remove the selected connection.
- Repair
- Repair a connection that reports
Needs Repair in the Status column on the
Connection List.
- Refresh
- Update information in the
Status column for the selected connection.
- Refresh All
- Update the information in the
Status column for all connections.
- System
- Create a system connection, and show only system connections on the
Connections List grid.
- User
- Create a user connection, and show only user connections on the
Connections List grid.
- Encrypt ADO Connection Settings

In this version of HCOSS, this check box has no effect on the connection.
- Enable Checking for New ODBC Drivers
- When editing and repairing connections, HCOSS checks the current ODBC driver version and prompts you to upgrade if a more
recent version is installed and available. Applies to System and User connection types only.
