ACU is set by ACUOPT and DIALECT"ACU".

Comments:

Setting ACU enables some ACU extensions to the language and implements changes of behavior for compatibility with ACUCOBOL-GT COBOL. Refer to ACUCOBOL-GT Syntax Extensions for more information.

ACU also sets acu_library, which in turn enables a library routine (C$RERR) designed to help you obtain extended error information for file operations, and external variables containing other error information.
