A WRITE statement referencing a dictionary item must specify the KEY phrase.
COBCH1646 Cannot DISPLAY a void method
A method that does not have a returning value has been specified as the object of a DISPLAY verb.
COBCH1647 Resolution of type <type-name1> failed dependent type <type-name2> not found
A program has referenced type-name1, which is dependent on type-name2, but type-name2 cannot be located.
COBCH1648 LEFT, RIGHT, or CENTERED expected; output phrase ignored
An OUTPUT phrase of an ACCEPT or DISPLAY statement is incomplete and therefore ignored. Add LEFT, RIGHT, or CENTERED to complete the phrase.
COBCH1649 Quoted PICTURE character-string is an ACUCOBOL extension
A character-string in a PICTURE clause contains double or single quotes, which you must remove.
COBCH1650 Indicator column contains $ or >, but no directive follows; line ignored
A valid directive setting statement does not precede the $ or > symbol.
