Create an Enterprise Server

You must create a new Enterprise Server instance, configured for MSS, for the ACCTWEB application.

To create the server:

1. Open the Server Explorer window in the IDE.

   If it is hidden, click Window > Show View > Other. Expand Micro Focus COBOL, click Server Explorer and then OK.

2. Right-click in the Server Explorer window and click New > Directory Server Connection.
3. Type localhost in both the Name and the Server address (IP/Hostname) fields.
4. Leave the port as the default value of 86 and click Finish.
5. Right-click on the new connection, localhost and click Open Administration Page.

   This opens the home page of Enterprise Server Administration (also called MFDS) in the IDE.

6. Click Add.
7. In the Server Name field, type ACCTWEB.
8. Choose 32-bit for the Working mode option.
9. Click Next.
10. In the Server Type group, select Micro Focus Enterprise Server with Mainframe Subsystem Support.
11. Click Next.
12. In the Creation Options group, enter 5239 in the Using port field. This will be the port number to be used to customize the 3270 emulator.
13. In the Description field, type a description of the new Enterprise Server, for example ACCT WEB demo.
14. Click Add.

    This displays the Enterprise Server Administration home page with your new ACCTWEB server in the list of the available enterprise servers.
