In addition to any custom reports you mock up using the Report Painter, AppMaster Builder provides a set of reports that help
you understand your application and its various components. You can use these reports as you develop an application to determine
the status of your work and the tasks left to complete. Some reports help you to troubleshoot problems in an application that
you are developing, or to determine the effect of a proposed change. Others help you to verify the results of your work. Once
you have fully implemented an application, use the AppMaster Builder reports to document it so that developers who later maintain
or enhance the application can easily understand it.
Note: Ensure that the current AMB project contains the application objects you want to report on.
You can produce reports on an entire application, on selected components, or on selected members of components, as follows:
- Application Definition Report
- Lists and describes all components of an application.
- Component List Report
- Catalogs and totals the components for each type.
- DDIFILE Report
- Describes the contents of the IMS or VSAM file that contains information about your database, formatted to AppMaster Builder
specifications.
- Field-Screen Cross Reference Report
- lists application screens, along with their entry or text fields.
- Macro Cross Reference Report
- Lists macros and the programs that use them.
- Customized Mock-up Report
- Llists and displays report mock-ups as painted in the Report Painter. This report displays the report exactly as painted in
the Report Painter, with or without line numbers.
- Program DB-DC Report
- Lists the screens and the subschemas or PSBs used by a program.
- Program Definition Report
- Provides a printout of programs created in AppMaster Builder. This report produces a listing of the program code you create
in the Program Painter.
