The Batch Server processes most of the activities executed within AppMaster Builder, such as code generation and compilation.
AMB submits each process to the Batch Server, which then performs the appropriate tasks and reports the results to both the
Logger and the Job Queue listing.
The Batch Server handles processes in the order they are submitted. The first job listed is the one currently being processed
by the server; additional jobs listed are queued and processed in order.
The Batch Server window displays job information.
- The
Select column lets you delete jobs before they run.
- The
Submission ID column indicates the name of the file in the user JOBQUEUE directory being processed. Batch Server deletes this file after
processing.
- The
User ID column names the person who submitted the job.
- The
Type field indicates what the submitted job is, such as a Program, Screen, or Report.
- The
Entity field names the Program, Screen, Report, etc., that the Server is processing.
- The
Date/Time column shows when the Batch Server received the job.
