After completing the generation process, DGS passes a return code to the AMBCOMP program. Just before terminating, AMBCOMP moves the value of the return code to the RETURN-CODE register. You can test this return code in the remaining job steps of your JCL. A text message, explaining the return code, is also written to held output.
The following table lists the possible return codes and a description of each.
Return Code | Description |
---|---|
4000 |

3000 | MQ problems |
2000 – 2999 | Distributed Generation Server problems |
