Installing a local license server

The License Manager infrastructure is installed by default on each machine when a product is installed. The product installer invokes the License Manager installer silently. This enables a product to ask for a license locally by default.

Any License Manager can also be used as a network license server.

These are the instructions to download and install License Manager without a product installation:

  1. Navigate to Product Updates on the Micro Focus SupportLine pages: https://supportline.microfocus.com/websync/productupdatessearch.aspx.
  2. Click Search updates by Product Name: and select License Manager from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Find Updates.
  4. Click + in front of License Manager and then in front of the version you are interested in.
  5. Click GUID-9B5C88B9-E8D2-42EC-9A23-FACEDDF37EE3-low.png to download the installer.
  6. Run the installer to install License Manager on your machine.
