To export and import DB2 schemas

To export a schema:

1. From the Schema Extract tab, create a schema extract file or open an existing schema extract file from the Schema Extract Name drop-down list.
2. Click Export.
3. Select a location and provide a file name for the exported schema file. Do not include a file extension.
4. Ensure that the Save as type field is set to Micro Focus HCOSS Schema Extract Files(*.hcodbs); then click Save.
5. If a schema extract file with the same name exists in the same location, you are prompted to confirm that you want to overwrite it.

To import a schema:

1. From the Schema Extract tab, click Import.
2. Browse to and select an exported schema file. These files have a .hcodbs file extension.
3. Click Open.
