In order to use trusting you must update system tables on the remote server which will trust the requests. On the remote XDB Server, you must also set up the appropriate AuthIDs, mappings and privileges.
The instructions in each topic discuss trusting between two XDB Servers. If you wish to have a fully distributed environment, complete the primary XDB Server instructions on each XDB Server from which request will be trusted. Complete the remote XDB Server instructions on each XDB Server which will trust requests.
All of the following instructions assume that security is turned on (through the XDB Server Configuration Utility) for both the primary and remote XDB Servers.
The instructions in this topic are written as if you have already set up server-to-server connectivity and inbound mapping before setting up trusting, and are not using outbound mapping.
