Communications Protocols

Local (Windows)
Turn this option on to enable communication between client and server on the same Windows machine.
TCP/IP (all platforms)
Turn this option on to enable communication between TCP/IP clients and the server.
To set the parameter:
  1. Click the General tab.
  2. Mark the checkbox next to the desired communications protocol.
