View the Catalog

The catalog file holds the details of data sets required by the JCL jobs that run in an enterprise server. To view the catalog:

1. In Server Explorer, right-click JCLDEMO and choose Show Catalog.
2. Click List in the page that appears.

   This shows the catalog file, MFIJCL.OUTFILE.DATA, created by the example job. If this file isn't shown, check Cataloged Only.

3. Select the check box beside the catalog file.
4. Click Details to see the catalog entry.

   Note that Codeset for the file is ASCII.

5. To view the file, click Display on the page showing the catalog entry.

   The file contents are displayed in the IDE.
