Asset Ranges
An asset range is a group of network assets that use a contiguous block of IP addresses. An asset range is useful if you have many network nodes that would be impractical to track individually, or that may come and go from the network, such as desktop PCs and laptops.
When a SmartConnector processes an event, the Manager, or the correlation engine, its endpoints are identified either as a single asset or as an asset belonging to an asset range. A reference to the asset or asset range identifier is populated in the event schema.
