Common CPK Messages and Displays

When you promote issues with change packages, you sometimes encounter displays and messages that alert you to common situations, but it is not always obvious what is causing the alert or how to address it. This section describes some common scenarios and how to deal with them.

“Promote failed: Some element versions in specified issues cannot be coalesced.”

You will sometimes see this when promoting an issue from one stream to its parent. All this means is that some versions of an element in this issue’s change package were promoted against a different issue. This creates a dependency on the other issue.
