Identity Server generates metadata for server communication and identification. You can obtain metadata through URL or XML document and then enter it in the system while creating the reference. Metadata is traded with federation partners and supplies various information regarding contact and organization information located at Identity Server. Metadata is generated automatically for SAML 2.0.
